| Apart from emergency responses, Ambulance Victoria (AV) also provides non-emergency transport to more than 220,000 patients.
This is done through the use of contracted non-emergency patient transport (NEPT) partners as well as AV in-house clinic car and stretcher services. It is in compliance with the NEPT regulations that stemmed out of the Non Emergency Patient Transport Act 2003.
NEPT must be instigated by medical request from your doctor or hospital. A booking can only be made by completing the Non Emergency Booking Form below.
AV and ESTA have recently implemented changes to the calltaking process, to ensure capture of appropriate information to comply with NEPT Regulations. This includes provision of mandatory information regarding patient acuity as found in the Call Taking Process document below.
